North District Competitions

Taking the next step in competitive swimming across the North of Scotland.

What is the North District?

The North District is one of four regional areas within Scottish Swimming, supporting clubs and athletes across the north of the country.

It brings together swimmers from across Highland, Moray, Aberdeen City and Shire, Orkney, Shetland and the Western Isles, creating opportunities to compete, develop, and progress within the sport.

Competitions at this level are an important step in a swimmer’s journey, offering a chance to race against athletes from other clubs and gain experience in a larger competition environment.

Why Compete at District Level?

North District events provide a bridge between club competitions and national level swimming.

  • Experience racing against swimmers from across the region
  • Develop confidence in a larger competition setting
  • Work towards qualifying times for national events
  • Track progress across the season
