Our Performance Pathway
Nairn District Amateur Swimming Club is proud to be one of six clubs forming the Highland Swim Team (HST) — a collaborative performance programme designed to support swimmers as they progress beyond club training.
This pathway provides opportunities for swimmers to access enhanced coaching, train alongside athletes from across the Highlands, and work towards regional, national, and international competition.

Swimmer Pathway
Highland Swim Team provides a clear structure for swimmer development:
- Training Level – Introduction to the programme
- Development Level – Increased training and competition
- Performance Level – High-performance training environment
Swimmers continue to train with NDASC while accessing additional HST sessions, maintaining strong links with their home club.
Training & Progression
Swimmers are identified by coaches for progression based on performance, commitment, and potential.
The central programme is based at Inverness Leisure, where Training, Development and Performance Squad swimmers access regular training sessions.
Athletes typically continue attending 1–2 sessions per week with their home club, ensuring a strong connection to NDASC.
Recent Success
Highland Swim Team continues to grow, with swimmers achieving success at the highest levels of Scottish swimming and beyond.
